What Forge AI Stores

Forge AI can store profile details, food logs, workout history, weight entries, water logs, saved meals, preferences, and notification settings. In the current no-account version, this information is stored on your device in browser storage.

AI Features

When you use AI features, Forge AI sends the text needed for that request to the Forge AI backend, which forwards it to the configured AI provider. This may include meal descriptions, workout history, goals, equipment, and weekly progress summaries. Do not enter medical information or anything you do not want processed by an AI provider.

API Keys

AI provider API keys are kept on the server. They should never be included in the browser app, public files, or mobile clients.

Third-Party Services

Forge AI may use an AI provider for meal estimates, workout generation, meal suggestions, and weekly reviews. Barcode lookup may call Open Food Facts when you scan or enter a barcode.

Data Loss

Because the current version stores data locally on your device, clearing browser data, changing browsers, uninstalling the PWA, or using another device may remove or hide your Forge AI data.
