The one-line pitch
"Describe your meal. Forge AI logs the macros. No database. Free during beta."
About Forge AI
Forge AI is an AI fitness app that removes the biggest friction in macro tracking: the food database search. Instead of searching for "grilled chicken breast 6oz" and hoping the entry is accurate, users describe their meal in plain English — "chicken burrito bowl with rice, black beans, guac, and sour cream" — and Forge AI estimates the macros instantly.
The app also includes a barcode scanner for packaged foods, personalized calorie and macro targets based on the user's stats and goal weight, an AI workout builder, personal record tracking, weight trend charts, and a weekly AI review of food logs and training.
Forge AI is currently in beta and available as a Progressive Web App (works on any device from any browser, no App Store needed). An iOS App Store and Google Play launch is in progress.
Forge AI is free to try during beta and no account is required. User data stays on their device.

What makes it different
Every major macro tracking app — MyFitnessPal, MacroFactor, Cronometer — is built around a food database. Users search for foods, pick entries, and adjust serving sizes. This works for packaged foods but breaks for restaurant meals, homemade dishes, and any meal with multiple ingredients.
Forge AI replaces the database with AI estimation. The approach trades exact label accuracy for speed and flexibility — optimized for the majority of meals that don't have a scannable barcode. For packaged foods, Forge AI includes a barcode scanner that pulls data from Open Food Facts.
The result: logging a meal takes 5–10 seconds regardless of what was eaten. Users who have repeatedly quit macro tracking due to friction report staying consistent longer with Forge AI.
Founder quote
"I built Forge AI because I quit tracking macros four times. Not because I didn't care about the results — because searching a food database for every meal I actually ate was slow enough to break the habit. The app I wanted didn't exist, so I built it. The goal was logging a meal in under 10 seconds no matter what you ate."
